Amazed to discover how some of these quotes from Neuromancer are burnt into my memory despite having read it last in middle school. Makes me want to reread some Gibson.

"A fundamental theme running through most cyberpunk literature is that (in the near future Earth) commodities are unimportant."

This line feels very prescient as it certainly feels like the current cultural attitude. I wonder if perhaps this is a case of cyberspace feeling more real than reality, as are presumably unspeakable numbers of factories, warehouses, and mines out there that makes cyberspace 'real'.

Really appreciating the articles you have chosen to preserve, look forward to more!
