And We're Back! Call-In Show Tonight at 8:30 PM Eastern.
HI!!! We're streaming here, X, and on Twitch.
Hey everyone,
I’ve been slower than usual here and elsewhere, so thank you for your patience.
A quick housekeeping note, since a few people I’ve had to cancel on or turn down have checked in with the best of intentions: I’m not sick — I’m pregnant with multiple babies! I’m not gonna feel better for a while.
My bandwidth is just limited right now. It’s partly stamina (my body wants to sleep 14 hours), partly creative energy. Everything I have goes to my toddler, a couple of high-priority columns, and staying functional. To make things more chaotic, I’m away for the holidays without my usual childcare support. I’m pregnant, in a crowded and noisy environment with very little privacy, chasing an almost-two-year-old who wants to explore every inch of the outdoors — all conveniently bordered by alligator-infested water.
So, if I say no to something, it’s not personal and it’s not because I don’t want to hang out/write for you/talk on Zoom/read the ARC of your novel/watch your video/whatever else. (If you couldn’t tell, I’m very frustrated by my lack of ability to do stuff right now.)
Once I’m home and into my second trimester, I’ll be more available, so please feel free to reach out in a couple of weeks with whatever it may be. I love writing and making things and talking to people and engaging with other people’s work, but none of it’s happening until after Christmas. When I’m back in my own space, I’ll return to form.
Now, onto something that is still happening: the call-in show, which I’m genuinely excited about. If you’re new, every week I host a Coast to Coast AM–style show that streams on Substack, Twitch, and X. (And in the new year, I’m finally moving from my house into a studio!)
All you need is a phone to participate.
Sinister Men, with special guest Jordan Castro, has been pushed to January due to scheduling conflicts, so tonight’s theme is NAUTICAL. Bring any and all sea-related stories — internet lore, new ocean tech, the dolphin religion, whatever you’ve got. As always, we’re at the intersection of technology and the paranormal.
